The grey-headed flying fox is the largest Australian fruit bat, with a head and body length of 23-29 cm and up to a metre wingspan. Their conservation status is vulnerable. They live in subtropical, temperate rainforests and tall sclerophyll forests (grevilleas, banksias, hakeas, teatrees, acacias, boronias and eucalypts).
