Kick off the NYOR 2012 in March, with Melbourne Workshops for Early Childhood Professionals
Workshop 1 - Chinny Chin Chin: Participants receive Morgan’s new book with new raps, rhymes and activities that promote oracy, body literacy and visual literacy, for inclusion in their existing language programmes or storytimes. She will teach the material and how it can be used in a variety of early childhood settings. Maximum 35 people.
Workshop 2 - Revisioning Storytime Masterclass: A small group setting where Morgan will address specific repertoire, programming and philosophy issues raised by participants working in the presentation of oral literature to young children. A choice of Morgan’s storytelling resources are available.
Maximum 20 people.

Such charisma!
A truly international appeal. Pupils whose first language is not English were able to participate, as were less able pupils. Even my older pupils, at first a little aloof, were drawn in and responding with as much enthusiasm as the younger pupils. Some shy children experienced a moment or 2 of glory when invited to take on a role - positively glowing with the appreciation of Morgan and the applause of the audience.
