The Terrific Talkers Workshops Our training day was a great boost to staff confidence in using storytelling to assist in language and speech development, socialisation and basic learning. We have incorporated a number of songs and rhymes from the Tales for Terrific Talkers book into our weekly group programmes and loaned the Tell Me books out as a resource to parents.Karen Bayliss, Kempsey Early Intervention Centre, NSW An upbeat workshop with lots of ideas on how to enliven storytelling for children. I've tried out the songs and different techniques in my storytimes and the kids love them.Jane Nolan, Phoenix Park Library, Melbourne Morgan brought story to our workplace. She shared her stories and created a safe space and supported process for staff to share theirs. It allowed staff to connect at a personal level and provided them with the inspiration to take a more creative approach to the way they work. Julieanne Hilbers, Diversity Health Coordinator, Prince of Wales Hospital, NSW Health Tell me One and Tell me Too are such inspirational resources. After attending your workshop last year I have found both books invaluable and often use them to begin or re- focus in lessons. "Sssh Don't Wake the Baby" is a favourite story and often is asked to be read more than once. The children's faces say it all... they love the simplicity and expression! Looking forward to another workshop especially the one using signing with stories and songs. Rob Fitzpatrick, St Agnes Primary School, Port Macquarie.
